Description: This course will follow the development of human civilization from the beginning of recorded history to the Industrial Revolution (1st semester) and from World War I to present day (2nd semester). Through engaging activities and projects, students will learn the basic patterns of human history, and be familiar with significant people, events, locations, and themes throughout each period studied. Our goal will be to study history in order to make sense of the remembered past, so that we can meet tomorrow with wisdom. Note: This class, along with the Jr. High Cultural Geography class, completes the Social Studies track for middle school. Tutor: Courtney Jacobs has a BA in Elementary Education from Luther College. She taught in public schools for almost 10 years before having kids, at which point God called her out of the classroom and into homeschooling instead. And she hasn't looked back! She is homeschooling her two young kids and enjoying this adventure they are on together. She and her family live in Eden Prairie and love being a part of their church community, investing in their neighborhood, playing games, and traveling together. Cost:
$242, $252 or $262 per
